High Point Cafe
Thank you so much Meg for doing this interview!!!! Meg and I talked about her business challenges during covid, the absolute joy that is online shipping( a bit of sarcasm here), and how to grow a business in this social media age. High Point Cafe offers a really diverse(and tasty) range of whole bean and ground coffee guaranteed to make your heart happy! My favorite blend, High Point Gold, is simply magical(my Dad agrees with this conclusion). Some of my favorite memories are of the amazing sense of community at High Point, which is why I was so excited to do this interview. I greatly admire not just the coffee, but the deep social passions behind it. Meg and those at High Point have had 20+ years experience in the coffee industry and are committed to ensuring that the farmers and processors they buy from are treated ethically and paid Fair Trade or better wages. Please support highpointcafe, small businesses, and each other. Website: https://highpointphilly.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/highpointcafe/

Poppy's Cafe
Thank you Laura for agreeing to chat with me! For those of you who didn't know, we almost couldn't have an interview because of technical difficulties, so I am thrilled that everything came together and you all are now able to hear about Laura and Poppy's Cafe! For all the coffee fanatics looking for drip coffee, cappuccino, lattes, espressos, teas, and treats, you're in luck because Poppy's Cafe is the place for you! Poppy's Cafe is such a pillar of the Chestnut Hill community(located in the Fareway Market), and since Laura bought the business it has only gained in popularity! She has a resilience and drive that she brings to every aspect of the business, and it was a pleasure to hear from her about the challenges that small businesses faces moving forward and how we as a community can support them. Please support Poppy's Cafe! Website(a new one is in the works!): http://www.marketatthefareway.com/poppys-cafe/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/poppycafe/

Random Tea Room & Curiosity Shop
Thank you Becky for a truly humbling and wonderful interview! We talked about a range of things from tea to politics to even finding your tea sensei(Please contact me if anyone is interested!). The Random Tea Room offers a wonderfully diverse assortment of teas from all over the world(Matcha, Oolong, Chai, and Herbal just to name a few) and even has a massage therapy facility in house! This business is perfect either for tea fanatics like me, or those of you a bit more cautious about joining the tea community. Everyone is welcome! As a tea lover, this interview had a special significance for me. Becky truly has spent years honing her craft, and creating a business where everyone can get in touch with themselves through tea. The Random Tea Room and Curiosity Shop at the heart of the Philly community is truly a gift. I hope to one day pursue my passion in the way Becky has beautifully pursued hers. Soom Foods
I'm so thankful that Amy agreed to do this interview with me! Initially, I was worried because of some minor technical difficulties(this is more of a podcast version), but after conversing with her for a couple of minutes I immediately became more relaxed. After all, how could one not be completely blissed out while discussing tahini? For those of you who haven't heard about or tasted tahini(a problem I'm sure you will remedy shortly), it is a paste made from sesame seeds and can be eaten by itself, or used in your cooking routine! It is completely vegan, and extremely delicious! If you're simply not a sesame person(no judgement), then fear not because the wonderful thing about @soomfoods is that it has a new line of chocolate tahini products! CHOCOLATE. TAHINI. Need I say any more? Website: https://www.soomfoods.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/soomfoods/

Reveal Tea
Sheetal has been my mentor since I started my capstone project back in September 2019, and I am eternally grateful to her for agreeing to do this interview! We talked about our mutual tea addiction, the importance of sustainability in the corporate world, and how she plans to move forward during the covid-19 era. Reveal Tea is the perfect mix between iced tea and kombucha, but even more refreshing! It has 3x the amount of antioxidants as green tea, and only 15 calories per bottle! Sheetal and her fellow eco-sapien(LOVE that term) Zuri started this business wanting to shake up the beverage industry and truly promote the 3 R's(reduce, reuse, recycle). For every bottle of Reveal, you are saving avocado seeds from entering landfills. For all of you out there wanting to save the planet one tea bottle at a time, here's your chance! Join the eco small business revolution! Website: https://www.drinkreveal.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drinkreveal/ Stay tuned for more updates!
